For this project I decide to create an outline of a basketball and the words “basketball never stops” around it. The idea is related to my project for this course topic because it involves basketball and my topic is about my basketball journey. From playing the game all my life, I have many different basketball shirts and two shirts inspired me to create this design. One of my shirts was from my high school team and it has an outline of the basketball as you see in this design. The other shirts has the saying “basketball never stops.” So, I decide to put them together.
My design process was to start with the background, I used the artboard tool and rectangle tool to help with this. Then I used to gradint tool to make the background an orange color. I than worked on the outline of the basketball. I used the ellipse tool to create a circle than the arc tool to make the lines of the basketball. To create the words, I used the type tool than I arced them to make them look like they were going about the basketball.
I have never used illustrator before, so I found this project was challenging. The arc tool was the most challenging for me, it wasn’t working like I wanted it to but then I made it work. Overall, I really enjoyed creating this design.
